48 Hours Left to Urge Publishers to Fix
Textbooks! Action:
Please immediately contact all of the
publishers, particularly if you are a teacher or
work in the school system, and politely let them
know that you would WELCOME scientific errors
being taken out of the books (such as
Haeckel’s embryos, peppered moths, the Miller
– Urey origin of life experiment, etc.).
Similarly educate them that weaknesses of
evolution should be in the books as is required
by existing Texas law, (such as the Cambrian
explosion, the chirality problem of origin of
life chemistry, massive systematic gaps in the
fossil record, profound ‘pathway’ and
‘mechanism’ problems of evolutionary
theories, etc.). It is important that you do this
in the next few days since the publishers are,
as I type this, considering last minute
editorial changes they will make to the books
that they will submit to the TEA on October 3.
Note that the Darwinian thought police
have organized a write-in campaign to urge
publishers not to fix errors or include the
scientific weaknesses of evolution.
You may find detailed reviews of many of
the books on our website at www.strengthsandweaknesses.org/reviews.htm

Example - Proposed
2004 Textbook Selectively Addresses “ In
the proposed 2004 Prentice Hall textbook
“Biology”, the Galapagos Island Finches are
discussed on several pages (406-410, 412-414).
A study conducted by the Grants is
referenced repeatedly as evidence for evolution in
progress, (specifically related to beak size
measurements).
Nowhere in the text do the authors report
that what the Grants observed was an oscillating
variation in beak sizes, apparently dependent on
weather conditions and/or available food supplies.
What was actually observed was variation
within a species, not any net genetic change in a
species. The
beak sizes were observed to increase in size
during dry years, go back the way they were before
during normal years and actually shrunk during wet
years. This
is well known, and in fact, is reported in several
of the other proposed 2004 textbooks.
(See graph below from the 2004 This Please
call or write or email the publishers directly,
and ask them to remove the well known scientific
errors (including those of omission), and to put
well known scientific weaknesses of evolution
theory in the books. Stay

for Better Science Education Note
that our website is now being revised continually,
and there are textbook reviews online, both at our
site and at the Texas Education Agency.
Importantly, we have several documents
there related to well known scientific weaknesses
that have been mostly ignored by publishers.
